Laura Dickstein Thompson, Ed.D. , MASS MoCA’s founding Education Director and Kidspace Curator, develops all of the museum’s art education programming. Thompson is celebrating her 25th year of working directly with children, teachers, and artists, and holds a doctorate from Columbia University Teachers College. She has been meditating for many years, studies Buddhism and secular mindfulness, and incorporates it into her teaching and art-making practices, and family life. Laura is also an adjunct professor of arts administration at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA).
